The firm of Clifton, Mueller & Bovarnick, P.C. was founded in 1981 by James R. Clifton, president and majority shareholder.  The eight attorneys in the firm are assisted by a staff that includes paralegals and legal assistants.  The firm’s practice, which emphasizes insurance defense, concentrates in the areas of personal injury, property damage, insurance coverage, bad faith, insurance fraud, subrogation, workers’ compensation, employment law and related types of civil cases.  The firm litigates cases in state and federal courts, the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation, and various arbitration forums.

Clifton, Mueller & Bovarnick, P.C. is one of only two Colorado law firms who have been nominated and elected to the Counsel on Ethical Billing (CEB).  We are the only law firm in Colorado on the Counsel with expertise in workers’ compensation and subrogation.  The firm is AV^® Peer Review Rated*, Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

As part of its on-going commitment to provide economical service to clients, the firm opened an office in Grand Junction in 1999.  Clients have the advantage of a Western slope presence while avoiding fees and costs of traveling to and from Denver.
